It is not just adults who are at risk of sustaining whiplash-type injuries, children can suffer as well. It is important that parents know how to purchase the correct child seat for their child in order for them to be protected in the event of a road traffic accident. In 2006 a new legislation came into effect that made it mandatory for parents to use the correct child seat for their child’s weight, height and age. This is because there has been some research to show that there are certain preventative measures that can be taken to reduce the risk of whiplash related injuries in children.
