A Vision Injury Lawyer Talks about Vision Injuries and Damages

Ambulance chasers prey on the vulnerability of the eye injury accident victims. They mysteriously pop up at the scene of accidents involving eye injuries. They hope to lure accident victims into the lair of unscrupulous lawyers.

Some lawyers peruse the police reports of auto collisions. They then contact the individual who appears not to have been at fault. I recently heard of a person who got a call from “Auto Accident Recovery Service” offering to recommend a doctor and to have a lawyer meet him at the doctor’s office.

Other lawyers have "runners" on the streets looking for accidents. It is a simple thing to buy a radio that picks up police calls. Many of my clients report being approached by runners after an accident. These people often arrive even before the police. They might offer to tow your car to a body shop, then drive you to a hospital emergency room and then to the lawyer's office. They might even suggest that the lawyer will loan you money.

You should select a lawyer because she is a good lawyer, not because she'll lend you money. The dollars you receive up front as a loan may pale next to the small settlement you receive at the end of the case because your lawyer doesn't have your best interests at heart.

You cannot trust someone who practices law in such a way. You cannot be sure that this lawyer won't lie to you when it comes time to settle your case. You cannot trust that this lawyer won't sell you and your case out for his own selfish reasons.
