Leg Injuries

For the most serious injuries which do not require amputation but are severe enough for a large compensation award where the injury was such that there was a shortening of the leg, the amount you could be entitled to would be in the region of £56,000 to £79,000.

Very serious leg injuries that involve problems with mobility or where the injuries have taken years to heal and have led to deformity and limitation of movement would justify an award of £32,000 to £49,350.

Serious injuries to joints, ligaments or hips which result in long period of treatment, possible arthritis or hip replacement, extensive scarring, the amount you could receive will be in the region of £22,650 to £32,000.

Moderate leg injuries where there may be limited joint movement, instability in the knee, scarring and increased vulnerability to future damage, the amount would be in the region of £16,000 to £22,650.

Less serious injuries like an incomplete recovery form a fracture where the person is left with a metal implant or a limp would amount to £10,500 to £16,300.

A simple fracture of a femur with no damage to articular surfaces would amount to £5,350 to £8,150. For simple fractures and soft tissue injuries where there are bruising or contusions which have almost completely or completely recovered the amount would be in the region of up to £5,350.
