Post traumatic stress disorder is a disturbing psychological condition where people relive painful memories against their will.
PTSD can sometimes occur after someone has lived through or witnessed a frightening incident such as a serious car accident or was involved in a seriously frightening event.
Symptoms can be feelings of isolation, lose of control and people can turn to alcohol or other drugs. Reliving the event and nightmares are common. Some people have trouble forming close relationships and have trouble sleeping.
