Stafford Accident Claims
Stafford is the county town of Staffordshire, situated between Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent. Stafford has all the attributes you would expect for a county town; celebrated art galleries, quality shops, green open spaces and a variety of places to eat.
Two of Stafford’s most historical sites are:
• Stafford Castle – built by the Normans in 1070, four years after the invasion of 1066. It was originally made out of wood and then later rebuilt in stone. It has been rebuilt twice. At night time it is illuminated and creates a landmark for motorists on the nearby M6 and for train passengers who are on the West Coast Main Line.
•The Ancient High House one of the finest Tudor buildings in the country, at one point it dominated the skyline of Stafford. It is the largest remaining timber framed town house in England. In 1642 King Charles the first stayed there on his way to Shrewsbury. It is now home of the Staffordshire Yeomanry Museum.
